Specially formulated for plastics. Bonds all types of plastic, even polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). Pattex superglue plastic liquid is available in a two-part kit with an activator pen and an adhesive tube and offers extra strong adhesion.

Application

All surfaces and parts must be clean, dry and in good condition. Do not touch areas to be bonded. Fingerprints may impair adhesion. Apply one or two coats with the activator (pen) to both surfaces or parts to be bonded. Both sides must be completely covered. Close activator pen immediately after use. Allow surface to dry and react for 1 - 2 minutes. Apply adhesive (tube) to one of the areas to be bonded (approximately one drop per square centimeter). Do not spread. Press parts together firmly and hold for approx. 30 seconds. Light handling strength after only a few minutes. Allow to cure for eight hours for final hold. Best results are obtained when the adhesive is applied at room temperature (15 - 30 °C).

Tips & Tricks

Superglues like the Pattex superglues Power Easy, Classic, Glass and Plastic but also the Pattex superglue Ultra Gel are very difficult to remove. The basis of all these adhesives is a cyanoacrylate.

Remove superglue from skin

The first thing to say is that superglues are not dangerous to the skin. If you have not just glued your fingers together, you can rest easy. The superglue reacts very quickly with the skin moisture and a film is formed, which can make the skin tense. Without treatment, however, the superglue will dissolve again after 2 days at the latest due to the skin moisture or sweat. If you want to speed up the process, we recommend bathing your fingers in warm soapy water and slowly rubbing off the adhesive residue. It can also be helpful to apply a greasy skin cream on the edge of the glue. It can help the glue soften at the edge and gradually come off.
