Product information

The aero-naut plastic profiles are made of ASA (acrylic ester styrene acrylonitrile), a white plastic similar to ABS, but much more impact-resistant with high rigidity. The material is highly resistant to weathering and ageing. ASA can be bonded with Ruderer L530, UHU-hart, Pattex-transparent or cyanoacrylate adhesives (superglue), among others. The range of plastic profiles from aero-naut is diverse and includes ASA profiles in 330 mm and 1000 mm lengths as well as various rods, tubes and end strips.

Processing

The aero-naut model making plastic is easy to work with a fine saw. The material is also easy to shape using a hot air gun. Solvent-based adhesives and plastic adhesives are suitable for bonding the strips. By varnishing, realistic and individual surface looks and colors can be created afterwards. This is particularly advisable if dust is to be prevented from being attracted.
