Addition-curing 2-component silicone rubber that vulcanizes at room temperature (RTV). Silicone rubber type 2 medium hard is very suitable for the production of demanding, elastic and hard-wearing molds with undercuts. Silicone rubber type 2 can be used to produce single-part or multi-part molds, it is suitable for molding original models made of wood, glass, metal, plastic, wax, ceramic casting compounds and many more. You can use all water-soluble casting materials in the produced molds, e.g. Relief casting compounds such as Stewalin, Plastalin Super, Keraflott or plaster, Keramin, Alabit, modeling and model building plaster, casting clay, cement, concrete, etc. Also soap casting compounds (soap glycerine) for making your own soap or waxes for making candles are possible without any problems, of course also casting with casting resins (resin). In this case, you should pre-treat the mold with a release agent before pouring, since casting resins after repeated casting can lead to embrittlement of the mold. In general, silicone type 2 has a very long service life. The silicone has not been tested for skin and mucous membrane compatibility or for use in conjunction with foodstuffs.
