While the traditional wax art can draw on experience and techniques from many centuries of candle making, the production of gel candles is a fascinating novelty. In its production it takes into account the same technical procedures as in candle making, therefore it is processed in the same way. The formula of this candle mass is composed of kerosene, wax derivatives and special white oils. In addition, hydrocarbon is added as a powdery substance. This chemical substance prevents "crystallization" during cooling. Therefore, this material does not become opaque white and solid, but rubber-like soft and transparent. It can therefore also be colored transparent with tinting colors containing oil.
