Evergreen Scale Models

The US manufacturer Evergreen offers in its extensive program various strips, rods, tubes, profiles and structural sheets(SheetStyrene) made of polystyrene. Thereby stability and durability of the products with simultaneous flexibility ensure excellent material properties for railroad, plastic, architectural modeling and more.

Material and surface

Evergreen modeling plastic, made of high-quality polystyrene, is characterized by its white, smooth surface, moldability and durability. In production, the strips and mouldings are sawn or milled to produce clear, clean cut edges. Round tubes, rods and T-profiles, on the other hand, are drawn due to their shape, so that they turn out less sharp-edged.

Processing

Evergreen modeling plastic can be processed with a fine saw. Heated with a hot air gun, the material can be easily formed. Polystyrene can be glued with plastic glue and solvent-based adhesives. Different color schemes and realistic surface looks can be customized with varnish. Varnishing is also advisable to counteract soiling and the attraction of dust.

Evergreen Strips(StripStyrene)

The polystyrene strips and rods are available in a wide range of designs. The range includes round bars, half-round bars, square bars, square tubes, square tubes and an extensive selection of profiles such as H-profiles, I-profiles, L-profiles, U-profiles and T-profiles. The bars have a standard length of 355 mm (14"), selected products are also available as 610 mm (24") long versions.

Evergreen Polystyrene Sheets and Structural Sheets(SheetStyrene)

In addition to the classic polystyrene sheets, these plastic sheets are also available as textured sheets with individual texturing and a satin matt surface on one side. Due to their versatile application possibilities, they are particularly suitable for architectural model making, artists' and craft supplies. The textured sheets with various groove or V-groove and grid embossings can thus be used, among other things, as walkway slabs, tiles, cladding, beading sheets and trapezoidal sheets.
