While the traditional art of wax candle making can draw on many centuries of experience and techniques, the production of gel candles is a fascinating new development. It is produced using the same technical processes as candles and is therefore processed in exactly the same way. The recipe for this candle mass consists of kerosene, wax derivatives and special white oils. Hydrocarbon is also added as a powdery substance. This chemical substance prevents "crystallization" when it cools. This is why this material is not opaque white and solid, but soft and transparent like rubber. If you wish, you can also enrich the gel with candle fragrance oil (Art. 80411).
