Product information

Perfect thin superglue, processing time 1-5 seconds. For bonding wood, metal, most plastics incl. EPP/EPO (not suitable for foamed polystyrene, polyethylene and Teflon). Package contents: 20g bottle.

The thin superglue (cyanoacrylate adhesive) for model making and also for general use. It is supplied in a bottle with an application attachment.

The thin superglue with a low viscosity is ideal for bonding non-absorbent and absorbent materials that fit together perfectly - typical applications include gluing RC car tires to wheel rims. It bonds wood, most plastics, metal, rubber, glass, ceramics, cork and paper.

Typical method of application: The adhesive is applied to the joint of perfectly aligned parts that are joined together.

• Optimum temperature for application: 23 °C
• Curing time (depends on the temperature and the type of materials bonded): 3-20 s
• Full curing: 24 h
• Optimum gap width between bonded parts: Zero
• The cured adhesive is soluble in: Acetone, dimethylformamide, acetonitrile.

Remove excess uncured adhesive:

Cloth or tissue moistened with KAV9979 CA cleaner or acetone (if the materials to be bonded are resistant to it).

Can superglue be diluted?

If superglue thickens, this is a sign that it has already partially polymerized and is losing its original properties - they cannot be reversed by dilution. If you need a thinner superglue, simply use the type with a lower viscosity. Individual types of KAVAN CA superglues can be mixed together to achieve optimum viscosity.

Suitable for bonding which materials:

soft and hard wood, chipboard, plywood, metal, ceramics, porcelain, glass and carbon laminates, glass and carbon fabrics and fibers and many plastics (incl. EPP and EPO).

Unsuitable for bonding the following materials:

foamed polystyrene, polyethylene, Teflon and silicone.

Storage:

in tightly closed packaging, in a cool, dry and dark place (at temperatures between +2 °C and +10 °C ). Do not expose the adhesive to temperatures below +2 °C.
